Dear friends, conservationists, and donors:

AiNi is a name that encapsulates our ethos and vision: "Ai Ni" (爱你) in Chinese signifies the love for others, while "AiNi" (also spelled as "Ayni" or "Ayniy") reflects the Andean principle of reciprocity and mutualism – "today for you, tomorrow for me." This philosophy of love and giving is at the core of everything we do and is built into the heart of our wildlife conservation platform, "AiNi." We believe humans have a purpose to love and care for the planet, and in return, Earth will give us everything we need.

We're deeply concerned about inspiring teens towards wildlife conservation. As education technology entrepreneurs for 12 years, we are working tirelessly to drive youth's attention towards educational goals. It's our responsibility to help guide future generations towards success and leave behind a better tomorrow for them. Unfortunately, as the world faces environmental challenges and animal species are disappearing, teens continue to spend much of their lives immersed in the internet, social media, and video games. This has led to increases in mental health illnesses, declining math and reading scores, and fewer pursuing higher education. Meanwhile, big game companies and social media companies, who make trillions, have proven to prioritize shareholder profits over teenage well-being and wildlife conservation. Teens are confused, lost, and depressed, and we believe that saving animals can truly help them find purpose and happiness.

We're further motivated by the fact that environmental and wildlife conservation receives just 3% of American charitable gifting, even though it is the most urgent issue for Gen-Zs. Although wildlife conservation organizations do an incredible job at educating and engaging youth, we think email campaigns, social media posts, and stuffed animal symbolic adoption experiences are missing opportunities to truly capture teenagers' attention and raise more funds for saving animals now. So, we decided the best way for us to contribute would be to combine our ed-tech background with our passion for animals and build a wildlife conservation platform that is hosted on social media where teens live today. It uses a chat format that teens are familiar with, has gamified badges and achievements that appeal to their interests, and makes learning fun by giving animals a voice that teens would prefer to learn from. Most importantly, it has a direct impact by helping wildlife organizations fundraise through monthly recurring revenue.

As firm believers that businesses today have a responsibility to shift their focus from increasing profit to caring about people and the planet, we established AiNi as a public benefit corporation (PBC), with the purpose of creating software that inspires people to donate toward wildlife conservation. It is our legal obligation and moral duty to uphold this commitment to social and public good, as outlined in our articles of incorporation.

Our commitment to environmental and wildlife conservation also stems from our roles as parents. Exploring national parks, visiting tidepools and aquariums, and observing animals in nature have created profound and unforgettable moments in our children's lives. From a young age, our kids have developed a deep love for Mother Nature and the diverse, beautiful world she nurtures for us all. As they become increasingly immersed in a digital world filled with entertainment and toxicity, we want to create an interactive and educational experience that helps recenter them towards positive learning and growth. Imagine a fun family time where kids are guided by their parents to chat with their adopted animals about protecting our planet's biodiversity, participate in virtual conservation campaigns, and receive certificates and badges celebrating their contributions. By instilling a sense of pride and accomplishment, we hope to inspire a new generation of conservationists.
